Edward D. Herald, Jr. “Doug” - President

With a Bachelor of Science in Business Degree from
Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati, Doug Herald has extensive educational experience in finance and business. Furthermore, as SVP of New Project Development for a prominent development company until 2006, Doug was responsible for managing land acquisition, planning, engineering, and development functions. In that role, Doug was also responsible for new project identification, due diligence, market studies, negotiating land purchase contracts, creating master plans, obtaining governmental approvals and negotiating lot purchase agreements with builders.

As President of HPA Development Group, Doug is responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate finance, operations and marketing, with a specific concentration of market research, land acquisition,
entitlements, cash flow management, investor relations, builder contracts, rezoning, job cost budgets, staffing and corporate marketing.

Other areas of experience include: strategic planning, market analysis, homeowner’s associations, structured parking, urban land assemblage, tax increment financing, and special assessment financing.
